James Eckert, DC

Distinguished chiropractic doctor James Eckert, DC, is the founder of Eckert Chiropractic, P.C. in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, where he provides outstanding care for patients with musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions.

Dr. Eckert was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, and attended the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and served as a Medical Corpsman during the Vietnam Era. ​

Dr. Eckert graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California, in 1983. His chiropractic career has taken him to many fascinating locations, including Edinburgh, Scotland; San Antonio, Texas; Farmington Hills, Michigan; Norwich, Connecticut; and now Rocky Hill, Connecticut, where he’s practiced for the past eight years.

Dr. Eckert was awarded designations from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the American Board of Disability Analysts, and the American Association of Integrative Medicine. He has advanced certifications in the fields of motor vehicle accident injuries and accident reconstruction.

Dr. Eckert also holds professional membership in the Christian Chiropractors Association, Connecticut Chiropractic Association, and American Academy of Spine Physicians. 

His wife, Sherrie, is the office manager at Eckert Chiropractic, P.C. and is a certified health coach. Dr. Eckert and his wife have nine grandchildren and a dog named Jazzy. They attend Galilean Baptist Church in Stafford, Connecticut.

Sherrie Eckert

Sherrie Eckert is originally from Chester, PA and moved to New England in the early 1980s. She graduated in 1976 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC and studied Business Administration. Sherrie has worked in the business field of insurance and banking most of her working career. In 2015, she made a change in her career by joining Eckert Chiropractic as a Chiropractic Assistant and Office Manager. 

Bob Rago, LMT

Bob Rago graduated from The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2006 and is nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. Bob is employed at Eckert Chiropractic as a full-time massage therapist and chiropractic assistant. His techniques range from Swedish massage which stimulates relaxation with lighter pressure on the superficial muscles, to deep tissue, which focuses on trigger point release in the deeper postural muscles.
